AZ skis

Why there is no plate on the AZ skis ? The plate are justified to reach very  high level performances mainly on racing. They appeared in the years 1990 with the Derbyflex and by elevating the level on the skiboot they were increasing the angle when shiing on the edge, also dampening the first type of flex and at last adding freedom in the constraints between ski, binding and boot. Since then, the skis have changed a lot and now the manufacturers are using the plates mainly to sells sets skis-bindings. They are a heavy burden fot the skis weight.

Why select the Pivot binding ? Its principle goes back to 1962 and it is still today the technical system which is the best. Its lightness, it elastic opening space still unrivalled and its pivot system is such that there is no constraint on the ski.
